I spent six months working in the machine shop at UVIC where I learned to use CNC mills, manual lathes, and a laser welder. I became skilled at working with a variety of materials and found my design skills improved dramatically from the experience.
In August 2014 I got married at a remote beach on Vancouver Island, and was fortunate enough to have a friend and photographer hike out to capture the event. This is a small selection of some of the amazing photos from the weekend.
Omega contacted me in 2011 to do an article for the Water Edition of their Omega Lifetime magazine. It was shot in Sicily, Italy by Anders Overgaard, who also put together a short video from the shoot.
In 2009 I was involved in a PADI diving society photo shoot on location in Nassau, Bahamas. Photos from this shoot have appeared in magazines and diving shops all over the world as well as in PADI course materials.
My mermaid tattoo won the “Best Large Black & Grey” tattoo at the Body Art Expo in 2007. I designed my tattoo together with my artist, Freddy Negrete who works at Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood. Markus Cuff took the photos for an article in Tattoo Magazine.
I met Twain while visiting Oahu, Hawaii in 2000 and have done various shoots over the years. The photos here were taken just after I broke my first freediving record in 2008, some of which have been printed in magazines and newspapers worldwide.
This album contains photos taken during my time as a competitive freediver. The photos have been taken by various photographers in locations all over the world.
